Harry �Roger� Helms, 56, West Plains, Mo., Died Jan. 27, 2008, in West Plains, Mo., He was born the son of the late Ernest Helms and Velma Wright Helms on Dec. 11, 1951, in Mooresville, N.C., He was united in marriage April 7, 1974, in Mooresville, N.C. to Lois Parker. He is survived by his wife, Lois Parker Helms, of the home, West Plains, Mo.; two children, Martha May Shuping, husband, David, Mammoth Spring, Ark., and Phillip �Lee� Helms, Mooresville, N.C.; three brothers, Ernest �Pee Wee� Helms, wife, Joann, Belmont, N.C., Joe Ben Helms, wife, Celeste, Maiden, N.C., and Gilmer Helms, wife, Brenda, Cornelius, N.C.; two sisters, Madeline Templeton, Mooresville, N.C., and Elizabeth Smith, husband, Robert, Concord, N.C.; three grandchildren, Whitney G. Helms, Destinee C. Shuping and Cody A. Shuping, all of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Helms and Ray Helms; and one sister, Katie Bustle. Service Information
Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Carter Funeral Home, West Plains. Burial will be in Wirth Cemetery, Sharp County, Ark.,at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
