Charlotte Elizabeth Bridges, age 94, died October 18, 2008.
Mrs. Bridges was born July 4, 1914 in Bethany, Missouri to James and Olive Ragan. The Ragan family travelled by train to Denver, Colorado in August 1919, where James bought a covered wagon and they set off for Oklahoma, arriving in the Oklahoma Panhandle on Thanksgiving Day, 1919. Charlotte met Alan “Buster” Bridges in 1934 and they married in Meade, Kansas in April 1935. They lived in Oklahoma, Kansas and settled in Amarillo in 1952.
Mrs. Bridges was saved in the Apostolic Faith Church at an early age and she devoted her life to serving the Lord. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Amarillo and was secretary and treasurer there for 17 years until ill health forced her to resign. She loved having her family around her and especially enjoyed her many great and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend many heartfelt thanks and much love to Beth, Donna, Mo, Tisha, Carrie, Jim and his wife Nancy and the entire staff at Vista Care Hospice for the outstanding and loving care that they gave to Mrs. Bridges. She loved all of you.
She was preceded in death by her husband, “Buster”; four brothers, John, Edward, Raymond and Neil Ragan; three sisters, Juanita Wright, Betty Capansky and Lorena Wright; her son, Alan “Sonny” Bridges; two grandsons, Rett Bridges and Bret Satterfield; and a great great granddaughter, Leslie Abbott.
Survivors include two sisters, Gracia Rumley of Woodward, OK and Maxine Haagenson of Albuquerque, NM; her daughter, Shirley Satterfield of Amarillo; two grandsons, Mike Bridges of Amarillo and Gary Satterfield and wife Jana of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Joni Pacheco and husband Ray of Woodbine, IA, Brenda Abbott and husband James of Canyon and Glenda Hill and husband Mike of Amarillo;
thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Service Information
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Jim Fox, chaplain for Vista Care Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
