|Obituary posted by : Lori Mathewson , Daughter || Person Description|| Louis Pesuti Jr. passed away November XXX, 20XXX at the age of 88. He was born October 24, 1922 in Clairton, PA to Louis Pesuti and Puriena Marella Pesuti, both originally from Italy. He subsequently lived in Bobtown, PA until moving to Arizona in the early 1940's.
Louie leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Alice Hackett Pesuti, sister Sabina, six children - Diana, Kathryn, Debra, Lauren, Patricia and Louis Pesuti III, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
As a young man, Louie worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was employed as an aircraft sheet metal worker. In 1943, at the age of 20, he was inducted into the Army. He proudly served in WWII in the 8th Army Air Corps, 849th Bomb Squadron, in England where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He earned battle & campaign medals and the Good Conduct Medal.
After the war, Louie returned to Amado Arizona, took over the family business, married his sweetheart and started a family. An active community member, Louie was responsible for the building of the Amado school and the Catholic Church which is still in use today.
In 1962, Louie moved his family to California and began a career in the aerospace industry. Starting as an assembler, he was promoted to Supervisor and eventually obtained the title of Engineer. He retired after 27 years.
Louie had many hobbies. He loved golf and bowling. He made jewelry from scrap metals. He was an inventor. He always tried to find ways to make tasks simple by fabricating a tool that would do the job. He dabbled in upholstery and gardening. He could fix anything and enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds, until his last days. He will be sadly missed but graciously remembered. We love you Dad.
