John “Jack” Moheit, 63, passed away November 4, 1988. He was born on November 28, 1924 in Brooklyn New York to Oscar Moheit and Agnes Cannoss.
Jack grew up in Brooklyn NY. He enlisted in the Marine Corp, at 17, to serve in World War II. He had some incredible stories of fighting in the Pacific region. One time, he was on sinking ship, after being torpedoed, and survived in the water for hours before being rescued.
Jack married Frances Plautz, in 1962, in Covina California. Jack was a member of the Los Angeles Police Department, as a reserve officer. Plenty more good stories as the 70s’ were a tough period in LA. He enjoyed fishing and spent many hours teaching us how to actually catch one. We miss him. He’s always in our thoughts and prayers.
