|Obituary posted by : Tim , brother || Person Description|| Christopher Alan “Chris” Cantwell passed away to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2015. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 3, 1961, Chris grew up in Avon, Ohio and lived there throughout his childhood until he graduated from Avon High School in June, 1979. Following his high school education he served our nation in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman First Class based in Texas.
Following his duties in the Air Force, the majority of his professional career was in the commercial flooring and interior design industry where he served contractors and building managers throughout the Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma marketplace. Later in his life he transitioned into the service industry where he worked as a marketing associate and manager in the retirement community industry helping seniors to transition to retirement living.
Chris was an enthusiastic musician and music lover and performed frequently as the principal drummer for several popular country bands that performed in the Tulsa area for many years. He had a penchant for creativity and posted many of his artful and inspiring photographs on Facebook and other photo blog websites. While creative pursuits were something he always embraced, his real love and passion was spending time with his family. He especially cherished the time spent with his twin grandchildren Luke and Olivia, both of whom brought joy to his world.
Preceded in death by father Ronald Cantwell and survived by mother, Gloria Cantwell, loving wife Margo Cantwell, elder brother and sister-in-law Tim and Kim Cantwell, nephews Ryan (Molly) Cantwell, Austin (Lauren) Cantwell, Garrett Cantwell, step-daughter Heidi Green, grandchildren Luke and Olivia, and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him.
In lieu of flowers, it was Chris’ and the family’s desire that those wishing to express their sympathy consider a donation to either the Haven of Rest Ministries, located in Akron, Ohio or The Little Light House located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
